A close-fitting knit sleeve built around a contoured silicone ring that sits over the kneecap, with a flexible metal spring stay down either side. The stays and the pad are held in place inside the sleeve rather than slipped into loose pockets, so nothing shifts or works its way out mid-session.
The body is a three-dimensional woven knit cut on a 3D pattern, so it follows the curve of the knee instead of bunching behind it.
